A

one that cannot be explained by substances or by a somatic disease

what is one of the main diagnostic features

A

a temporal associated between the onset, exacerbation or remission of the somatic disease and that of the mental disorder e.g if you remove the tumour you remove depressive symptoms etc

exceptions to the rule

A

in the case of epilepsy the symptoms come after years oaf seizure sometimes

or in hungtidnons the depression comes way before the diagnosis
