- development of graafian follicle : primary follicles mature to release an egg; FSH; primary follicle develops into fluid-filled Graafian follicle
- ovulation : Graafian follicle moves to surface of ovary; LH ruptured follicle; egg is released
- formation of corpus luteum : follicle develops into corpus luteum, produces large amounts of progesterone
