What is memory?
Learning that has persisted over time, is stored and re-called
Re-call
Measure of memory in which we retreive info learned earlier. e.g. Short answer Q’s
Recognition
Measure of memory, recognising items previously learned
Re-learning
The time you save while learning a previously known concept again
Implicit memory w example
Unconscious memory that can be expressed through behavior e.g.riding a bike, typing, cooking
Explicit/Declarative memory w example
Memory that’s actively re-called like facts and experiences e.g. birthdays, recall an event

Temporary storage and processing of memory. Used to solve problems assist with demands
Short term memory
LImitied duration and capacity. 10-20seconds (longer if repeated)
