put asterisk on the lines where the seventh is so you don’t place it accidentally

if you are using the raised seventh make sure it is between two of V I or ii. Placing it next to other notes can create clash

can be a good opportunity to achieve a melodic minor motif. You can raise the sixth and seventh if the melody ascends and lower both of them if it descends.
