What are “pril” medications
ACE inhibitors
What are “statin” medications?
Cholesterol medications
What is hypotonic solution, and what does it do when administered?
A solution with LESS solute. Aka more water.
When administered the water moves from high water concentration (I.e the solution being administered) to lower concentration (I.e the interstitial space)
What is a hypertonic solution and what does it do when administered?
A solution with more solute in it.
When administered the hypertonic solution has more solute in it than in the intravascular space. Causes a shift of fluid from interstitial to intravascular space.
What are some common potassium sparing diuretics?
Spironolactone (aldactone)
Elperenone (inspra)
