- Symptomatic allergic reactions causing patient distress

hypoglycaemic patient’s when oral is not possible and a rapid improvement in clinical state is needed, or they have not responded to IM after 10 minutes

Hypoglycaemia when oral is not possible, and a rapid improvement in needed, or unconscious hypoglycaemia
- further management if no response to glucagon after 10 minutes
what is GTN spray used for?
- Cardiac chest pain due to angina or MI
- breathlessness due to pulmonary oedema in acute HF when systolic is above 110

sublingual spray

- severe or life-threatening asthma

Hypoglycaemia in a conscious patient with no risk of choking

- severe or lift threatening asthma

- exacerbation of COPD unresponsive to salbutamol

- post-partum haemorrhage within 24 hours of birth
- life-threatening bleeding when under 24 weeks pregnancy and confirmed miscarriage

opioid overdose causing respiratory depression, cardiac arrest, or unconscious

- major trauma with significant internal or external bleeding
- recent head injury with reduced GCS

IV over 10 minutes

After 3rd shock if shockable
