  • Insertion: pectineal line of femur + linea aspera

A
  • Origin: just below medial end of the obturator crest on anterior aspect of the body of the pubis
  • Insertion: middle two-quarters of the linea aspera
    Movements
  • adductor of thigh
  • can flex the extended thigh + extend the flexed thigh

  • Insertion: upper half of linea aspera anterior to adductor magnus

A
  • Origin: femoral surface of the ischiopubic ramus + lateral part of inferior surface of ischial tuberosity
  • Insertion: linea aspera + greater trochanter + medial supracondylar ridge + adductor tubercle
    Movements
  • adductor of hip joint
  • posterior portion = aids in hip extension

  • Origin: front of the body of the pubis + its inferior ramus just encroaching onto the ramus of the ischium
  • Insertion: short vertical line on the upper part of the medial surface of the shaft of the tibia
