What was the experiment set up by Albert Bandura?

A

He placed children in a room with a “Bobo Doll”. Adults were told to play violently with the doll whilst children observed, before going in and also being rough with the doll.

Q

Why is the fact that Albert Bandura’s Bobo Doll experiment was in a lab environment a problem?

A

It’s not the same as showing how this would happen in real life - children would’ve been aware of the camera and perhaps wanted to please the adults. Artificial behaviour trying to please the researchers

Q

What is the problem with the use of a Bobo doll in Albert Bandura’s theory?

A

It’s not a human. Does being violent towards a toy really mean you would be violent to a real person?
