a. Death: mortality data, life expectancy at birth (Life expectancy varies by age – people who are going to die younger have already died), Hispanic paradox (people who immigrate to the united states are typically healthier, b/c they still have traditional lifestyle qualities in addition to originally being the hardiest from where they came. However, as they are here an increased time, they become more unhealthy because they adopt the American way of life.
