mayfly larvae, they are very sensitive to the concentration of dissolved oxygen. (if theres mayfly larvae in a river then the water is clean)

Answer 3

1) satellites to measure the temperature of the sea surface, and the amount of snow and ice cover.
2) automatic weather stations tell us the atmospheric temperature
3) rainfall, using rain gauges
