What is condensation?
Its the process when a liquid is removed from vapor.
What’s a consultation room?
A meeting room where dental staff can discuss diagnostic and treatment information to the patient.
What is the dental operatory?
Its the dental treatment room and control center of the clinical area.
What’s a rheostat?
Its a foot controlled device to operate the dental headpieces.
What is subsupine position?
It’s when the patient lays down and their head is slightly below their feet (or below the heart).
What is supine position?
It’s when the patient is lying down and their head, chest, and knees are at the same level.
What is triturate?
Its when you mechanically mix materials like when you use an amalgamator to mix an alloy and mercury to create dental amalgam.
What is upright position?
When the patient is sitting in an upright position and the back is at a 90 degree angle with the dental chair.
