Math- Angles Flashcards
1
Q
Exterior angle theorem
A
An exterior angle is formed when any side of a triangle is extended. An exterior angle is always equal to the sum of the two angles in the triangle furthest from it.
2
Q
what is true when two parallel lines are divided by one line?
A
The vertical angles are equal, the alternate interior angles are equal, corresponding angles are equal, and same side interior angles are supplementary- they add to 180.
3
Q
What is the formula for the sum of the interior angles of a polygon?
A
the sum of the interior angles = 180(n - 2) where n is the number of sides.
