Keep the base but add the exponents together

Keep the base; subtract the exponents
What do you do when an exponent is raised to another power?
Keep the base; multiply the exponents
What do you do when a number is raised to a negative number?
Set the solution as a fraction. Put 1 as the numerator, the base in the denominator, make the exponent positive and raise the denominator to it.
What is the order of operations?
Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division,(which ever comes first: left to right) Addition, Subtraction(whichever comes first; left to right). PEMDAS
How do you convert a mixed number into a fraction?
Multiply the whole number by the denominator and add the numerator

(new amount-old amount)/old amount x 100%

Keep the base the same, add the exponents
