When is Rho(D) Immune Globulin indicated? When should it be correct that an Rh- negative receive Rho(D) Immune Globulin
Rho(D) Immune Globulin should be administered to Rh- negative women exposed to Rh- positive blood. Such exposures may be linked to
A. Delivering an Rh- positive infant
B. Chorionic villus sampling
C. Aborting an Rh- positive fetus
D. Receiving accidental transfution of Rh- positive blood
E. Amniocentesis
F. Intraabdominal trauma while carrying an Rh- positive fetus
A condition in pregnancy, when membranes that surround the fetus are infected by bacteria
It is cause by bacteria, typically form the vagina or rectum that then spreads to the uterus after the water breaks
Chorioamiosis
Symptoms: fever, maternal and/or fetal tachycardia, very tender/painful uterus especially to touch, vaginal discharge/lochia witha foul smell and unusual color.
Tests: WBC elevated >15,000, Culture diagnostic gold standard as it will tell you the microbial cause, gram stain, amniotic fluid sampling.
