A motivational theory in which there are five levels in a hierarchy of human needs that employees need to have fulfilled at work

What is meant by physiological needs?
Getting paid enough to afford basic needs (food, shelter)
What is meant by safety needs?
Having a safe working environment
What is meant by social needs?
Feeling wanted and having a sense of belonging (teamworking opportunities)
What is meant by esteem needs?
Feedback, recognition, opportunities for promotion
What is meant by self actualisation?
Fulfilling potential, achieving targets
