Wyatt’s Rebellion 1554

  • Rebellion to the marriage of Mary I and Phillip of Spain.
  • English people felt alienated by Spaniards
  • Wyatt emphasized their fear of Spaniards, saying they’d steal everything
  • Raised around 4,000 men.
  • Norfolk’s troops deserted to his cause.
