  • His execution of Somerset

  • Somerset -> ‘Reformist Faction’
  • Caused rebellions, 1549 unrest -> social + foreign policy (war w/ Scotland), economic policiy
  • Unpopular as protectorship continues
  • Attempts coup at Hampton Court, tried to abduct Edward
