Manoeuvres Flashcards
Stall recovery
-Hold control column firmly
-Disengage AP & AT
-Smoothly apply nose down elevator, reduce AoA until buffet or stick shaker stops
- Roll in shortest direction to wings level
- Advance Thrust levers as necessary
- Retract Speed brakes
- Do Not change gear or flap configuration (unless on liftoff flaps are up- call for flaps 1)
- Check Airspeed and adjust thrust as necessary
- Establish pitch attitude
- Return to desired flight path
- Re-engage AP and AT
Wind shear Escape
-Disengage Autopilot
-Push TOGA
-Aggressively apply max thrust
-Disengage Auto Throttle
-Simultaneously Roll wings level and rotate towards 15deg pitch up
-Retract Speed brakes
-Follow FD if available.
TCAS RA
Disconnect AP
Disconnect AT
Smoothly follow TCAS guidance
Advise ATC
GPWS Warning
Disengage AP
Disengage AT
Aggressively apply max thrust
Simultaneously roll wings level and rotate to pitch attitude of 20deg
Retract speed brakes
If terrain remains a threat pitch to the PLI or stick shaker or initial buffet
Do not change Gear or Flap configuration
TCAS RA in Landing configuration
Disengage AP and AT
Advance Thrust levers to ensure maximum thrust
Call for flaps 15
Smoothly adjust pitch to satisfy RA commands
Verify positive rate of climb- call for Gear Up
Upset recovery definition
Historically
25 degrees nose up
10 degrees nose down
Bank angle greater than 45 degrees
Or airspeed inappropriate for the. Conditions.

Any time the aircraft is diverting from the intended aircraft state
Nose high upset recovery
Recognise the developing situation
Disengage AP and AT
Apply nose down elevator
Apply nose down stabiliser trim
Reduce Thrust
Roll to obtain a nose down pitch rate
When approaching the horizon roll wings level
Check airspeed and adjust thrust
Establish pitch attitude
