- Monitor blood lines (air bubbles, clotting)
- Follow protocol
- Monitor patient
- Prevent clotting in lines
- Cannulate patient properly
- Check heparin
- Evaluate patient’s ability to hold site to clot

Apply moisturizer to skin and avoid heat
