What are the five stages of sequencing activities?
A
- Develop the Project Network Diagram (PND) (make reference to activity list)
- Very large! Use MS Project to detect errors
- Dependency determination and integration (between predecessor and successor activities) most will be FS!
- Implement leads and lags where appropriate
- Verify breakdown by examining logic (most will be FS, look at special cases)

FS - Finish to start - Formwork and concrete pouring
FF - Finish to finish - Roof finishing and interior finishing
SS - Start to start - Excavation and foundation pouring
SF - Start to finish

- Mandatory dependencies - hard logic (foundations come first)
- Discretionary dependencies - Opinion (project management team)
- External dependencies - Non-project activities (environmental hearing)
- Internal dependencies - piece of equipment being used by other team
