Improved things for boys by introducing a modular system with continuous assessment, allowing them more opportunities to demonstrate their abilities. The reform also offered greater flexibility in subject choices (e.g. Vocational subjects, Business Studies and IT),, enabling boys to pursue subjects that suited their interests and strengths. It aimed to address boys’ underachievement by providing alternative pathways to success and increased engagement. Additionally, the reform improved retention rates by making education more accessible and tailored to boys’ diverse needs.
