How would you dewater Stern Thruster?

A
  1. Open the Discharge - T-handle on deck in Port 6 man in front of the head.
  2. Open the Supply (firemain) - Firemain valve on bulkhead above stern thruster.
  3. Open the Suction - T-handle’s on deck port side of stern thruster hatch.
    A. One is a suction point
    B. One is an eductor

How would you dewater MMR?

A
  1. Open the Discharge - MMR first level, port side, in between SSDGs.
  2. Open the Supply - MOV log office
  3. Open the Suction - MOV port side power MMR outboard the FOP
    a. Remote valve on deck in MMR vestibule
    b. Remote valve on deck under mess deck table

How would you dewater AMR?

A
  1. Open the Discharge - MOV port side upper AMR outboard of chill water pumps)
  2. Open the Supply - MOV Port 4 Man
  3. Open the Suction - MOV port side lower AMR next to gray water tank
    A. Remote valve on deck in front of Aft AFFF tank
    B. Remote valve on deck in center 4 man head
    • Valve to open flow from MMR for suction by white thing in ceiling with holes
    • Can activate from ECC

How would you dewater SORS Cargo?

A
  1. Discharge - can use AMR or MMR. If you use AMR you need to open the valve from AMR to MMR and open valve from MMR into SORs cargo (in MMR lower level, forward bulkhead).
  2. Fire Main - same as AMR/MMR
  3. Suction - main valve down in aft bulkhead of sors cargo. Two remote suction valves, one on each catwalk.

A

Covers:

  1. Bow Thruster
  2. Cargo
  3. Chain Locker
  4. Mag 1 & 2
  5. Chain Bin
  6. Discharge - Behind RO (potable water pump room)
  7. Fire main - Right in front of armory
  8. Suction - Bow thruster and chain locker only spaces with remote valve. These are in p-way in front of DC shop.

** First open main suction valve by eductor in potable pump room. Then open appropriate valves on tree.

A

Cargo Hold - 2 valves
Chain Bins - 2 valves
Mag 1 - 1 valve
Mag 2 - 1 valve
Chain Locker - 1 valve and 1 remote valve (in front of forward AFFF on deck)
Bow Thruster - 1 valve and 1 remote (in front of forward AFFF on deck)
Suction Hose - 1 valve
1. In middle mag space (valve only)
2. In cargo hold (hose in cargo) (1 valve & 1 hose)
3. BOSN store room ( 1 valve & 1 hose)
4. Bow Thruster (1 valve & 1 hose) (valve is behind forward HPU, stand side)

    And the valve on tree.
