for eclamptic seizures 1-4 g of a 10% solution IV/IO over 3 minutes with max of 20-40 g/day
for cardiac arrest due to hypo magnesia or torsade’s de pointes use 1-2 g of a 10% solution (if pulse) then 1-2 g in 50-100 ml over 5-60 mins

if pulseless vtach/torsade’s de pointes then 25-50 mcg/kg IV push
if pulsed tach/torsade’s de pointes 25-50 mg/kg over 10-20 mins with max dose 2 g
