contraindications

2nd or 3rd degree AV block (if no pacemaker), sick sinus syndrome (if no pacemaker), bronchoconstrictive or bronchospastic lung disease (asthma/copd), poison or drug induced tachycardia

6 mg rapid IV bolus over 1-3 seconds, followed by a 20 ml flush. If no response after 1-2 minutes than administer a second dose of 12 mg.

0.1 mg/kg rapid IV push over 1-3 seconds followed by a 5-10 ml flush (max first dose of 6 mg) second dose 0.2 mg with a max of 12 mg
