Transgender
-aka trans or TG
-people who psychological self (gender identity) differs from social expectations for the physical sex they assigned at birth
Ex. A biological female with a masculine gender or who identifies as man

Health need
-in general, gender minorities have difficulty addressing their trans health needs with health care professionals who are under-prepared and inadequately trained to deal with comprehensive needs of this population
