Q

Jugular trunk

A

The jugular trunk is a lymphatic vessel in the neck.

On the right side, this trunk ends in the junction of the internal jugular and subclavian veins.

On the left side it joins the thoracic duct.

16
Q

The thoracic duct is the larger of the two lymph ducts of the lymphatic system

A

It also collects most of the lymph in the body other than from the right thorax, thoracic limb, head, and neck (which are drained by the right lymphatic duct).

It drains into the systemic (blood) circulation at the junction of the left subclavian and internal jugular veins

17
Q

How is lymph moved?

A

Mainly by eg. breathing/muscles around moving etc, as lymph vessels lack pressure.
