Art.humeri & its muscles Flashcards
Art. humeri
Shoulder joint;
articulation btw glenoidal cavity (scapula) - head of humerus
Explain the joint (type and other features)
- Its a synovial (diathrosis) joint.
- Its art. spheroidale, multiaxial and incongruent (labrum glenoidale). Its joint capsule has a recessus cran et caud.
Movement: (ru/eq) flexion/extension
Ca: rotation, adduction. abduction also possible
Ligaments of shoulder joint
No collateral (muscles instead) =m. infraspinati (lat) and m.subscalpularis (med)
ligg. glenohumeralis (gelnoid cavity- tuberculum majus et minus) - two parts on medial side.
ligg. transversum humeri (fixes the biceps brachii tendon in the intertub. groove)
(Un) ligg.coracohumeri (tub.supraglenoidale - tuberculum majus et minus)
Under the tendon of m.biceps brachii there is a …. in (Eq)
Bursa bicipitalis / bursa intertubercularis
Labrum genoidale
Fibrocartilage “disc”
The tendo of m. biceps brachii is partyl surrounded by the capsule of the joint, forming a sheet?
Vagina synovialis intertubercularis
Extensors of shoulder joint
m. supraspinatus
m. biceps brachii
m. coracobrachialis
m. subscalpularis
Flexors of shoulder
m. infraspinati
m. teres major
m. teres minor
m. deltoideus
m. triceps brachii (caput longum)
m. subscalpularis
