- EBV

Describe the lymphadenopathy involved in HL
Painless, commonly involving the cervical and/or supraclavicular nodal chain
What are the 3 “B symptoms”?
- Unexplained fevers
- Drenching night sweats
- Significant weight loss
What role does imaging play in HL?
PET-CT useful for measuring response to treatment and tailoring it to the patient; NOT DIAGNOSTIC
What cell malignancy is involved in the vast majority of NHL?
B cells
Would a core biopsy be suitable for tissue biopsy?
No; often whole node needs to be excised.
What would be your leading differential in someone with the following lymphadenopathy?
- Tender
- Hard
- Smooth surface
- Inflamed overlying skin
- Tethered
Bacterial infection
What would be your leading differential in someone with the following lymphadenopathy?
- Non tender
- Rubbery consistency
