near aortic hiatus from cisterna chyli - courses along right-dorsal side of thoracic aorta - then to left in cranial mediastinum
Joins with cranial vena cava or left jugular vein at cranial thoracic aperture

Truncus trachealis [truncus jugularis]

In front of the shoulder - drains the thoracic wall and thoracic limb

Within the axilla - on medial muscles of the shoulder - drains the lateral thoracic wall and thoracic limb

Dorsal thoracic lymphocentre - where is it- what does it drain?
Along dorsal aspect of thoracic aorta - drains primarily dorsal and lateral parts of the thoracic wall

- Lymphonodi thoracici aortici (absent in ca, sometimes fe)
- Lymphonodi intercostales (inconstant,may be absent in car + su)
Ventral thoracic lymphocentre - where is it and what does it drain?
Along dorsal aspect of sternum - drains ventral and lateral thoracic wall, diaphragm and mediastinum

At pelvic surface of sacrum and terminal segments of aorta- drains the pelvic wall, pelvic organs and distal lymph centres
