Ludlum 3001 Flashcards
What ways can it measure radiation?
Count rate, exposure rate/dose, activity rate, integrated exposure/dose, time averaged rates, and scaler counts
What button is used to change the detector?
The detector button (D) [DET 3]
Name the buttons from left to right
DET 1. ON/ACK
DET 2. (U) UNITS
DET 3. (D) DETECTOR
DET 4. (M) MODE
What are the three modes of operation?
RATE, MAX, and COUNT
What does Rate mode do?
Rate mode will display the current count, exposure, or activity rate
What does Max mode do?
Max mode is used to capture the highest count, activity, or exposure rate detected. Useful for finding a peak rate or frisking when the display is not visible
What units of measure can Rate and Max mode be displayed in?
Cps, cpm, Bq, dpm, R/h, or Sv/h
You can switch between them by pressing the unit button
What does Count mode do?
Allows the user to perform a count for predetermined amount of time
What units of measure fall under a time averaged rate?
Cpm, cps, dpm, Bq
What units of measure fall under time averaged exposure or dose?
R/h or Sv/h
What units of measure fall under integrated exposure or dose
R or Sv
How many data points can be logged?
1000 data points.
How do you log data?
Press the data log button (Vl)
What is the operating temp?
-5 to 122 degrees F
What kind of batteries does it use and what is the battery life?
4 AA batteries for approx 500 hours
