What is cell?
It is the basic unit of structure and function of all living things
What we call the organisms that only consist of one cell?
Unicellular
What we call complex organisms that consist of many cells?
Multicellular
What is Eukaryotic cells?
Eukaryotic cells have a nuclei and are surrounded by a membrane Z
What is Prokaryotic cells?
Prokaryotic cells that does not have a nuclei and are not surrounded by a membrane.
Name all the levels of organization?
Cell, tissue, organ, organ system, organism, population, community,ecosystem, biome, biosphere
Define tissue?
group of cells of the same kind.
Define organ?
Structure composed of one or more types of tissues. The tissues of an organ work together to perform a specific function.
Examples to plants organs?
Stems, roots, leaves
Define the organ system?
Group of organs that work together to perform a certain function
Define organism ?
Individual living thing that may be made up of organ systems
What is population?
Organisms of the same species that live in the same area.
Define community?
All the populations that live in the same area.
What is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem consists of all the living things (biotic factors) in a given area, together with the nonliving environment (abiotic factors).
What is a biome?
A group of similar ecosystems with the same general type of physical environment
