Not All Abnormalities Are Undesirable
Not everything that’s abnormal is bad e.g. high IQ levels
Objective Model
Judgements are based on objective, scientific and unbiased data that can help indicate abnormality/normality.
Cut Off Points
Cut off points are subjective e.g. IQ 70 = abnormal, IQ 71 = normal.
Labelling Mans As Abormal
Labelling people as abnormal isn’t always beneficial - a low IQ can be labelled negatively affecting mans self confidence and self esteem.
Not Statistically Rare
Some psychological disorders are not statistically rare e.g. depression ain’t rare but it’s still a problem.
