FIRE (RED)
Engine fire detection loop detects overheat; may be accompanied by other indications
IGN (YELLOW)
Ignition ON and both ignitor plugs are bad
MAN (YELLOW)
Manual mode, DEEC fault/fail
- When operating in MAN above 30,000 feet, maintain N1 greater than 66%. When operating above 46,000 feet, maintain N1 greater than 80%. If N1 is allowed to decelerate below these values, the engine acceleration may not occur when commanded. In that event, increasing aircraft speed and/or decreasing altitude will restore normal engine function.
- Thrust reversers must be limited to idle reverse when the engines are operating in MANual mode.
NAC (YELLOW)
Active when NAC HT or NAC HEAT FAIL ON messages are displayed
START (YELLOW)
Starter engaged with N2 > 51%
SYNC (YELLOW)
Main gear is not locked up with SYNC switch on, N1 or N2
APR (WHITE)
APR armed in both DEECs (displayed between N1 digits)
IGN (WHITE)
Ignition ON and one ignitor plug is bad (manual or automatic)
MAN (WHITE)
DEEC selected to MAN or OFF by pilot, or power failure to DEEC
APR ON (GREEN)
APR activated
IGN (GREEN)
Ignition ON and both igniter plugs are good (manual or automatic)
IGN ON at 6.8% N2
IGN OFF at 45% N2
NAC (GREEN)
NAC Anti-ice switch ON, and system functioning normally
START (GREEN)
Engine starter is engaged
START should go off at N2 > 51%
SYNC (GREEN)
Sync is on (N1 or N2)
APR (GREEN)
APR throttle detent selected
