Therapist tries to translate foot anteriorly from Tib-Fib
Positive: Anterior translation and/or clunking
Structures tested: ATFL and CFL
Talar Tilt
Foot @ 90 degrees dorsi flex
Calcaneus is inverted and everted on tib-fib
Positive: Pain: Inversion = CFL / Eversion = Deltoid
Kleiger
High Ankle Sprain Test
Patient is seated with legs hanging over table
knees @ 90 flex
Therapist Stabilize leg at knee with 1 hand and place other hand on plantar surface of foot
Apply passive lateral rotation
Positive: syndesmosis pain
Indicates: Ant & Post tibfib ligaments, interosseous membrane

Prone Feet off table Therapist pinches claves Negative: Plantar flexion occurs Positive: No plantar flexion
Peroneal Tendon Dislocation
Prone
Knees flexed to 90
Active dorsiflex and plantar flex with eversion against resistance
Positive: Tendon Subluxes from behind lateral malleolus
Compression
Squeeze fib-fib above and below suspected injury for tenderness
Percussion/Bump
Blow to the heel
