What is DNETs?
A
- Typically in children or young adults.
- Grade 1 slow growing glioneuronal tumors.
- Either cortical or grey matter.
- Arise from secondary germinal layer
- up to 80% associated with cortical dysplasia.
- Characteristically cause intractable focal seizures (90%).
- 65% temporal lobe
- Heterogenous, often gelatinous w nodules of firmer tissue.
- T2 bubbly appearance.
- FLAIR bright rim sign

How are DNETs distinguished from low-grade astrocytomas?
