the population of Shoreditch has changed. many older residents and Bangladesh families are moving away. as a result of rent prices going up. in their place young professional workers many in the finance and creative industries are moving in. this process of rising property prices and changing population is known as Gentrification.
with new younger population have come some forms of recreation and entertainment Shoreditch is now one of the most vibrant parts of London.

old industrial buildings have been converted to flats and offices
shoreditch is more attractive
Jobs have been created in new creartive industries such as web design, flimmaking and art
Pubs and bars have been brought back into life as resturants and art galleries

cross rail is a new, east-west route across London due to open in 2018, linking Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east with reading and Heathrow in the west. it will tunnel under the city center reducing journey times and increasing the total number of passengers journeys in London. Already, Crossrail 2 is being planned for 2030.
