- It’s fast rail services link major UK cities
- A1 and M1 roads lead to the North of the UK
- future travel times will be quicker with the HS2 (high speed railway)

Has a radial network as the roads converge into London like the spoke of a wheel

- has high economic activity due to large shops

- has many entertainment facilities

It’s the oldest part of the city

As land there is very expensive so the only way to maximise the value is to build up
