AND logic circuit

What’s an application?

A

Made of two normally open switches wired in series.

Application is a two hand circuit to protect the user’s hands (only working if both hands press pushbuttons)

Q

OR logic circuit

What’s an application?

A

Made of two normally open switches wired parallel (meaning they’re connected to the flow through either)
Application is a button, or another, acting as a start button where one doesn’t need to be near the machine

NOT logic circuit

What’s an application?

A

Made of one normally closed switch wired in series with output (the output’s on when input isn’t vis versa)
Application is an emergency stop pushbutton

NOR logic circuit

What’s an application?

A

Made of two, or more, normally closed switches wired in series with output
Application are multiple stop pushbuttons in a circuit; assembly line

Q

NAND logic circuit

What’s an application?

A

Made of two or more normally closed input switches wired in parallel with output (opening either switches will keep output powered; opening both will depower)
Application is the interior light of a car when a door is opened

Q

Memory logic circuit

What’s used to make it happen?

A

Is used to output power after input signal is removed

The device used is called an electrical relay
