What is a manually operated, single-cycle cylinder reciprocation?

A

An application using a single cylinder extending and returning from a pushbutton; used to turn off output after it finished

What is a continuous cylinder?
What should it have? (what does that require?)
How should it work?

A

A cylinder that keeps going after it’s started.
It should have a protective shied/guard as a safety feature around moving machine. Requires two limit switches and relays.
With a limit switch on the machine to act as a sensor (to stop if not in place)
