What is the procedure for emergency check fire?

A
  • LAC contact SPTA asap stating “Danger Area Check Fire, what altitude are you operating to?”
  • Subject aircraft may overfly at least 1000ft above (2,000ft above UAA)
  • If situation demands, check fire may be applied as expeditiously as possible to permit emergency aircraft to a lower level
  • SPTA will phone back to confirm
  • Check fire will not apply to activity below max level required
  • Information on location of the aircraft shall be passed as bearing and flying time from relevant DA
  • SPTA to be notified once aircraft is clear of DA
