- Animals can move from place to place.
- Plants do not move from place to place.However, they move [very slowly] when they grow or when a flower opens and closes its petals.

- Animals do not make their own food.They get their food by eating plants and other animals.
- Plants make their own food.The way in which they make it is called photosynthesis.To make food they need a green dye called chlorophyll.This is why plants are green.

- Animals cells do not have a cell wall around them.They have a cell membrane this is much thinner and weaker than plants cells
- Plant cells have cell walls.They are found outside the cell membrane.Cell walls mean that the plant cells are stronger than animal cells.
