- liturgical worship follows a tradition of a set structure - Anglican & Catholic
features: - hierarchical as the clergy and choir lead the worship most of the time
- regular as it follows the same structure
Give three advantages of liturgical worship
- focuses more on the biblical message
- brings a sense of community and continuity across many churches as they follow a set structure
- it keeps with tradition
Give three disadvantages of liturgical worship
- there is not much freedom on how to worship
- does not allow a personal relationship with God
- it could be alienating due to lack of understanding from the individual
Define non-liturgical worship
spontaneous or structured worship that has no set pattern or words
What is charismatic worship ( group of Christians) and give 2 features of it
- a type of non-liturgical worship
- Pentecostal churches hold these services
features: - leader acts as he feel inspired by the Holy Spirit
- there is dancing and singing and people often speak in tongues ( language given by the holy spirit)

- allows an individual to express themselves and worship how they want to
- more relevant to modern times
- closer relationship with god as Pentecostal Christians can be overcome with the Holy Spirit

- lacks tradition
- too much focus on the individual but should be on God
- no continuity between churches

A person set on a religious mission to promote christianity ( to evangelise ) in a foreign country
- Christians do this as it was Jesus’ last command

- churches will fund projects enabling young people to travel abroad and get involved with missionary work

How does the Church help nationally? ( scripture union)
Scripture union helps churches and individuals to inspire children through the use of the bible to strengthen their belief in God.
