arrangement of events in the order in which they occurred
climax
point of the story that creates the greatest suspense or interest
resolution
part of which the conflict is resolved and the story is coming to an end; the end
conflict
struggle between characters or opposing forces
external conflict
character struggles with an outside force, may be another character, society as a whole, or a natural force
internal conflict
a struggle with the characters own mind, emotions, needs, or desires
