How did Mary become our mother?
I was Jesus was dying on the cross, he looked at Mary and St. John and said, “Woman, behold your son!” Then he said to the disciples, “Behold your mother!” With these words, Jesus indicated that Mary was to be excepted by all as their spiritual mother, the mother of all. Since Mary is truly the Mother of God, in real sense, she is our mother, too.
