Describe Miranda’s general presentation throughout the play:

A

-Miranda is presented as the epitome of goodness, and is a loving daughter of Prospero, contrasting most of the other characters in the play

-she shows qualities that emphasise her intense compassion for other characters, and even stands up in the face of her father to express her love for F.

-regardless of her strength and independence, she is clearly portrayed to be an object in a political marriage
-Prospero arguably wants M. to get married to F. so that he can form an alliance with the King of Naples, Alonso
