Why is consuming too much Linoleic Acid detrimental?
Because linoleic acid and alpha linoleic acid are competing for the same enzymes and linoleic acid is more inflammatory than alpha linoleic acid.
Functions of Triglycerides?
Providing energy, energy storage, insulation and aiding transport and absorption of fat soluble vitamins.
Phospholipid Functions?
Cells lipid bilayer and emulsification.
What is Sterol and what are its functions?
Sterol is cholesterol. Only found in food of animal origin. It is a component of cell membranes and helps produce vitamin D, bile and hormones.
