The managers that ground floor employees report to every day, and who are in charge of the day-to-day people management
What is the expectations of line managers in terms of leadership?
They are expected to create trust with employees and serve as role models, mentors, and coaches
What does research done by the CIPD show about line managers delivering people management?
Research shows that line managers already have so much to do that to expect them to deliver people management is implausible, as it is a time consuming addition
What does a lack of training lead to in terms of line managers delivering HRM policies?
Inconsistent implementation of HR policies, and hesitancy in taking responsibility for them
