What does the AUTO selection on the stobe light do?
Strobe begins flashing when squat switch is not activated (shuts off on the ground)
Why is there a 1&2 on the Nav LOGO light?
There are 2 sets of NAV lights, 1 or 2 illuminates the corresponding one along with the LOGO
What does the AUTO on the smoking sign do?
NO SMOKING signs are always but gear lever turns off the exit signs when airborne automatically.
What happens when cabin altitude exceeds 11,300 ft (decompression)
SEAT BELT and NO SMOKING signs illuminate automatically regardless of switch position
What does the AUTO selection on the EMER LGT do?
The EXIT signs, markers and overhead emergency lights illuminate when:
AC BUS 1 and 2 fault
(only overhead emer lights illuminate when just BUS 1 is lost)
DC ESS SHED bus is lost
What powers the overhead emergency lights and EXIT signs?
DC ESS SHED bus, if power to bus is lost, an internal battery will power for 12 minutes
When are the EXIT sign batteries not being charged?
When the lights are on, they are not being charged
With battery power only, what cockpit lights are available?
FO dome light
CA main panel flood lights
T/O, taxi, RWY turn-off lights
Which lights are located on the nosewheel leg?
Turns off automatically when landing gear is retracted.
What happens when the gear is retracted with lights selected on?
- Two beam lights on each side of the fuselage.- Illuminate the leading edge of the wing and the engine air intake to show if ice is accumulating there.
What are the WING lights for?
The strobe lights come on automatically when the main gear strut is not compressed.
What happens to the strobe lights in the AUTO position?
Shut off the landing light but leaves it extended.
What is the status of the LANDING lights in the OFF position?
Navigation lights, landing lights, runway turnoff lights, TO and TAXI lights, logo lights, anticollision lights, wing and engine scan lights.
What are the exterior lights?
Each of these switches controls the lights for the side console and briefcase on one side of the cockpit and for the floor around one of the pilots seats. The lights can either be bright dim or off.
What are the functions of the CONSOLE/FLOOR SWITCHES?
