Q

What happens when light comes in contact with objects?

A
  • Materials that allow light to pass through them easily transmit light.
  • Depending on the angle that light hits an object, it may also refract.
  • Light reflects off the surface of objects. Humans see most objects because light is reflected from their surfaces to your eyes.
  • Light that is not reflected or transmitted is absorbed. The light energy changes to heat energy. It warms the matter that absorbs the light.
