Commonly LG2
LGV describe clinical course
Primary lesion - 3-30 days coronal sulcus, pos wall vagina or vulva
Commonly proctitis or asymp
Secondary phase swollen lymph nodes or buboes groove sign 10-30 days post primary. Can get fever or arthritis
Tertiary - most donβt get but chronic inflam of anogenital tissues - proctitis, strictures
Classic LGV
Proctitis, lymphadenopathy and hx of ulcer in MSM
Testing for LGV
NAAT
Really time PCR to confirm
CT serology
Rx of LGV
Doxy 3/52
2nd line erythromycin 500mg qds dor 21 days
Azith 1g weekly
Rx of LGV Iβm pregnant women or tetracycline allergy
Erythromycin or extended azith regime (3/52)
PN for LGV
4 weeks pre onset of Sx or 3/12 if asymp pick up
Partner 21 days Rx also
